So last night the boo and I went to Dans le Noir restaurant, and had a pretty unforgettable experience. We were led into the dining room by our server (who is blind) and entered complete darkness. I mean, we couldn’t even see our hands in front of our faces. As soon as we were seated, I jumped into survival mode. All of my other senses were hyper-aroused, and I was ready to sprint at any second. It took a few minutes for my eyes and body to adjust, and when it did I was able to relax. We were seated with complete strangers, which was awesome because we got to know people in the dark- and this was magnificent in so many different ways. The food was delicious and unique, and our server was so attentive. They offer a green menu for vegetarians, a blue menu for seafood lovers, a red menu for meat fanatics, and a white menu for the surprise dinner. All in all, a one of a kind experience. Had a fantastic time and the darkness definitely brought out the flavors of the food. A little on the pricey side, but worth splurging on if you can!

If you’re in town, check out this bundle of delight in the boogie down BX (whoop whoop) The food is amazing, the staff is attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. They also have vegetarian options for all my earthy granolas ;)

I saw this vegan spot- MOB’s featured as a living social deal, so I decided to cop it. I went with my love bird and we got a 3 course meal with drinks included for just $20 each (not bad!) What makes this place special? Their main entrees are like custom made pizza panini’s shaped like the Brooklyn bridge and they come stuffed with really creative toppings. If you’re in the area, check it out!
